💞How and where did you first meet? And how long have you been together?
We met a couple of years ago through Hinge ("designed to be deleted" worked well)! We have been inseparable ever since!
📅And how did you propose?
We were on a road trip around California. On our penultimate night, I booked for us to stay in a classic AirStream in Yosemite National Park. Viv had mentioned she wanted to stay in one prior to the trip but by the time we got around to booking it, they had sold out. Little did she know, it had been booked for weeks!With our camp fire burning away in the background and Viv's favourite song playing (thanks to some skilful Spotify song queuing) I suggested we took a photo of our little camp. Once the camera was setup, I got down on one knee. It captured the moment perfectly!
😎What was your inspiration behind the design, why choose the styles?
At the start of the process, I had been looking in jewellery shop windows with Viv trying to work out what she liked. It quickly became apparent, that she liked "elements" of different rings we saw, but not any of the actual rings. So the design has inspiration from around 20 different rings we saw. We also saw different stones and Viv loved the way the green sapphires complimented the diamond, without detracting from it.The key points were it being a trilogy, having coloured side stones, having a twist incorporated and I quote "nothing too sharp!"
💍How did you find the bespoke process and our services?
With such a challenging brief, I don't think there is any other company who could have made it happen. From the start - Sofia was so patient, from me emailing asking stupid questions, to making late changes to the design, to pulling the completion date forward - nothing was too much for Holts! The whole process highlights the professionalism and expertise that Holts pride themselves on.
Seeing the smile on Viv's face (and tear in her eye) when she first saw the ring! It was all worthwhile in an instant. Do not settle for anything less than perfection! You might think that your dream ring is not a possibility because it's not in a shop window. But I promise you, with Holts helping you, it is possible!
