How and where did you first meet? And how long have you been together?
Hampstead Heath was where we met - in a cosy little bookstore tucked away on a quiet street. Intrigued by the same novel, we were both wandering the shelves, searching for it. Nowhere could it be found, but in the process, we managed to find each other. Giving up on the book hunt, we exchanged details and agreed to connect once we had read it. Eleven days later, Manoj could not help himself and instead suggested coffee by the bookshop - and that’s where our story began, two years ago.
Tell us about your proposal, how did you propose?
Proposed in São Miguel, in the stunning Azores - during a beautiful hike overlooking two breathtaking lakes. Nimisha was completely surprised, and the island’s famously unpredictable weather kept Manoj on his toes!
What was your inspiration behind your engagement ring?
We wanted something delicate yet timeless and unique - a design that reflected our style. We instantly fell in love with the beautiful tulip setting, which had a magical quality to it, and chose side stones to give the centre stone an elegant, elongated look.
How did you find the bespoke process and our services?
Simeï was excellent to work with; the team was highly collaborative, professional, and perfectly captured our vision - plus delivered to our tight deadline!
What was your favourite part of the process?
Seeing the CAD design for the first time really brought everything we had discussed on paper to life - it was so exciting!
What would be your one piece of advice for couples looking for an engagement ring?
Take your time to find a design that truly reflects both of you - it should feel personal, not just beautiful.
