How and when did you first meet? How long have you been together?

We met on Hinge, and have been together 5 years and 7 months.

Tell us about your proposal, how did you propose?

Since we've been together, I have gone on holiday with Holly's family every summer to Sheringham in Norfolk. This normally involves her parents, 3 sisters, her eldest sisters husband and 3 kids as well as the other two sister's boyfriends. Sheringham is Holly's favourite place so I knew she'd want the proposal there. We got to Sheringham on a Friday and my plan was to propose at sunrise on the beach on the Sunday. I woke up at 3:30 AM and managed to get ready and head to the beach. Holly was then woken up by her sister, sisters boyfriend and another friend. They told her to get ready and meet me at the beach. She met me there where I was waiting with the sun about to rise. Her older sister was hidden filming from afar and at 4:32 I popped the question!

What was your inspiration behind your engagement ring?

Holly loves the colour green and it has symbolic meaning to both of us. I am Nigerian and our flag is green and Holly loves Wicked. Green seemed the perfect colour for us.

How did you find the bespoke process and our services?

I have honestly found the process easier than I thought. Holts has been helpful throughout the process, May especially was brilliant in helping me get the ring Holly wanted.

What was your favourite part of the process?

Finally proposing! It felt like a long process between me first choosing the ring and finally picking it up then proposing. I was glad to not worry about it anymore.

What would be your one piece of advice for couples looking for an engagement ring?

Always communicate clearly what you want. Holly was pretty clear with me which meant I was able to choose a ring she really loves.
