💞How and where did you first meet? And how long have you been together?
We met at a Christmas Party hosted by a mutual friend, we later found out the party had pretty much been put together so we would meet. It became quite obvious when we were introduced and everyone else left the room and watched us from the doorway! We've now been together for just over three years.
📅And how did you propose?
I had a weekend in Cornwall planned that included a proposal at Lantic Bay (as Rosie loves the sea). I was keen to propose early in the trip in order to enjoy the rest of the weekend. However, because I proposed in December this meant a very early start to drive down to Cornwall to catch the sunset. Insisting that nothing was going on, whilst also pushing her out the door pre-8am for a 6 hour drive was tricky. However, we reached the coast just in time for an amazing sunset and I proposed on the cliffs above the beach. I did have to ask twice as there were a few tears!
😎What was your inspiration behind the design, why choose the styles?
Emerald side stones as that is one of Rosie's favourite colours. I liked the slime-line design of the teardrop shape. I also wanted it to be warm and colourful, the yellow gold really did the trick!
💍Is this your first bespoke piece, and how did you find the process?
Yes, this is the first piece of jewellery I have ever designed. The process was brilliant, Claire was so helpful and talked me through every decision. She gave me options for each element and took the time to look at different combinations. It was fantastic service throughout and I definitely learnt a lot!
👀What was your favourite part of the process?
Picking up the ring for the first time was really special as I knew she'd love it and I had chosen the right stones. However, I was a little nervous that I had gone a bit too large on the ring size... ...I was proven right.
🤔What would be your one piece of advice for couples looking for an engagement ring?
I think being open to different ideas and designs is really important. Have a look at all the colours and combinations you think you might want and ask Holts for advice. Claire was so knowledgeable and really generous with her time and opinions.
