In terms of jewellery trends, funky geometric rings took the spotlight in the 70s, while Jackie O's marquise ring set fashion trends. Princess cuts became popular in the early 70s, often showcased on a solitaire band or paired with side baguettes. A notable trend in the mid 70s was the rise of matching wedding bands for couples, perfectly complementing the engagement ring.

When it came to wedding trends, grooms embraced the fashion-forward choice of coloured tuxedos.
