Holts visit the Lapada Antique Fair

Posted on the 22nd September 2015

If you have not had the pleasure of attending the Lapada antiques fair, may I highly recommend that you go? Glamorously set up in Mayfair’s Berkeley Square, the ostentatious antique fair is deceivingly sizeable once you walk in. We were immediately greeted with a glass of bubbles which were generously kept topped up during the evening. But more importantly, the antiques displayed were beyond exquisite. And I’m not just talking about the jewellery…the fine art, decanters, the home furnishings, you name it, I’m sure someone exhibiting had it! But what I really want to talk about is how beautiful the jewellery was. I’m not sure I’ve seen a Diamond quite that dazzling in my life! The rings were positively divine. So ladies, if you want your man to pop the question soon, take him to the fair and get hinting for your perfect engagement ring!! Designed with what you can only assume is as close as you can get to a Pigeon Blood Ruby, some of the Ruby pieces had that everlasting deep captivating red colour you wouldn’t be able to say no to. Similarly with the Emerald and Sapphire pieces, we must have spent at least 30 minutes lusting over, they were astonishingly superb. If you've seen anything you like, perhaps we can help you out with our bespoke jewellery service...just saying. Please remember we are closed on Wednesday 23rd September. Until next time!
