Background


Holts is a fast growing and renowned name in the UK jewellery trade for gems, jewellery and education. Holts’ web presence is an important part of its future plans and this post is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic and friendly company. We are therefore seeking a self-motivated individual with experience and skills in web management, As the web manager you will be responsible for developing the character of the organisation’s online presence in all aspects: writing, editing, and working closely with the technical team to maintain site standards in tandem with new developments. You will also be responsible for crafting site promotions, eNewsletters, social media strategies and online outreach campaigns.

This dynamic role involves working closely with other members of our organisation, as well as liaising with external parties, so strong communication skills are needed. The ideal candidate will also have experience in managing online marketing and outreach campaigns. An interest in jewellery and design would be desirable.

Department: Web and Marketing

Reports to: Managing Director

Overall responsibility
Responsible for developing the company’s online web profile in all aspects, ensuring that the online image supports the Holts brand

Key areas of responsibility
•    Manage on-going developments for the website
•    Produce new content, writing in an interesting and engaging manner
•    Source images and artwork and manage photographs for the website and promotional material
•    Maintain all aspects of the website and ensure information is updated and accurate
•    Deal with website enquiries and respond to any issues related to the website – customer service
•    Create site promotions and manage eNewsletters
•    Prepare and manage marketing plans and budgets

Required Skills:
•    Exceptional communication and organisational skills
•    Basic Adobe Photoshop skills
•    A keen interest in understanding what motivates people
•    Able to work independently, using your own initiative, and effectively as part of the team

Desired (but not essential) Skills:

•    Knowledge of Google Analytics
•    Knowledge of HTML and experience with content management systems
•    Knowledge of a wide range of marketing techniques and concepts
